Ed Chazen serves as Senior Vice President in the acquisitions group of Urdang Capital Management, Inc. Ed manages the North East Region Acquisitions office located in Boston. He is responsible for the sourcing, underwriting and closing of real estate acquisitions and investment transactions in the northeastern United States. Ed has 23 years of commercial real estate experience. He has worked for many companies in the New York and New England area, including GE Capital Corporation, TCW Realty Advisors, Weil/Chazen Realty Advisors and The Ackman Ziff Real Estate Group. As the president of Weil/Chazen Realty Advisors, Ed closed over $325 million of joint venture equity investments, underwrote investments and represented developers in the structure of joint ventures with institutional investors. As a managing director at The Ackman Ziff Real Estate Group, Ed’s notable accomplishments were the closing of over $400 million of joint venture and preferred equity investments with institutional investors and the management of a joint venture equity placement business for a successful New York-based capital markets advisory company. Ed holds a B.A. from Emory University and a M.B.A. from New York University. He also taught real estate development as an adjunct professor at Boston University from 1996 to 2001.
